Polish Reference Genome Database is the result of the work of the POLGENOM consortium, including the consortium leader Genomed SA, the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw, the Mossakowski Medical Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Science, as well as 24godziny Sp. z o. o.
The genomic database was created as a result of the project "Polish Reference Genome for Genomic Diagnostics and Personalised Medicine", co-financed by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development within the INNOTECH project (In-Tech programme path).
This is the only genome database for the Polish population. It is unique at an international scale thanks to combining clinical and genomic data and based on the whole genome sequences of 126 healthy, long-lived Poles (over 90 years of age). It  contains individual clinical and biochemical data sets for each genome.

The Polish reference genome database can be used as a control group for any population genetic study and a reference point for genome analysis in diagnostics and personalised medicine.

The database is commercially available at www.polgenom.pl for research, pharmaceutical and clinical studies.
