A record-breaking year 2025 for Genomed S.A.

Genomed S.A. has published its results for 2025: a 26.6% increase in revenue, ROE of 24.1% and a 67% increase in sales of NGS services in the Life Science segment.

Genomed S.A. ended 2025 with the best financial results in its history. The company significantly expanded the scale of its operations, improved profitability and strengthened its position as the leader of the Polish genomics and genetic diagnostics market, based on NGS technology.

Unprecedented revenue growth and a significant improvement in financial results

In 2025, Genomed achieved sales revenue of PLN 29.1 million, representing an increase of 26.6% compared to PLN 23.0 million in 2024. The Company’s growth rate was more than double that of the genomics and genetic diagnostics market in Europe, whose CAGR is estimated at approximately 10.4%. At the same time, operating costs rose by 14.7%, which, given the scale of increased sales, translated into a marked improvement in operational efficiency and profitability. The Company’s net profit amounted to PLN 3.4 million, and net profit margin rose to 11.7% compared to 4.8% a year earlier. Return on equity (ROE) reached 24.1% compared to 10.3% in 2024.

Dynamic growth in operations

2025 was a landmark year for Genomed in terms of scaling up its operations. The Company recorded:

  • a 36% increase in sales of genetic testing,
  • a 67% increase in sales of NGS services in the scientific segment,
  • further development of cooperation with the Diagnostyka S.A. and Lux Med groups,
  • an increase in sales of its own NIPT test in Central and Eastern European markets.

The expansion of the business was significantly driven by the development of next-generation sequencing-based tests, in particular WES, pharmacogenomics and ALS diagnostics.

Technology, automation and AI as the foundation of the growth strategy

The results achieved are the outcome of a consistently implemented investment strategy focused on the development of laboratory infrastructure, automation and bioinformatics.

Genomed possesses one of the most advanced technology parks in the field of genomics in Poland. The Company’s laboratories utilise six automated robotic stations, which enable increased analysis throughput whilst maintaining high quality and reproducibility of diagnostic processes. Genomed uses several high-throughput NGS platforms for DNA/RNA sequencing.

Anticipating a rapid increase in data volume, Genomed expanded its computing infrastructure and bioinformatics tools, including AI-based solutions, in advance to ensure it was prepared for such large volumes of analysis. The proprietary algorithms developed by Genomed automate selected stages of NGS data analysis, increasing the efficiency of diagnostic work and the throughput of analytical processes.

A unique model for integrating genomic services

A key competitive advantage of Genomed S.A. is full control over the entire diagnostic process – from DNA isolation, through sequencing, to advanced bioinformatics analysis and reporting of results within a proprietary ecosystem supporting laboratories, diagnosticians and doctors.

The company is among the few in Europe that independently carry out the entire technological process in the field of NGS. Unlike many entities that outsource part of their laboratory or bioinformatics processes to foreign laboratories, often outside the European Union, Genomed S.A. conducts all genetic data analysis locally on its own servers in Poland.

This model not only ensures greater security and control over patients’ genetic data, but also enables faster implementation of new diagnostic solutions, more efficient scaling of operations, and the maintenance of high quality and reproducibility of analyses.

Development of bioinformatics products and commercialisation of the BroVar platform

In 2025, Genomed continued the development of its proprietary BroVar platform for the diagnostic analysis of NGS data. The solution, initially created for the Company’s internal needs, was developed to a level enabling commercialisation under a SaaS model.

The platform supports the analysis and interpretation of genetic data for diagnostic laboratories and external partners, streamlines the process of reporting test results, and increases the efficiency of diagnostic teams.

Intensive R&D and new sequencing technologies

Research and development remain a key area of Genomed S.A.’s operations, which the Company currently funds from its own resources. This model allows for the rapid implementation of new technologies and diagnostic solutions, without having to make the pace of development dependent on grant competition schedules. This strategy enables a smoother transition from the research and development stage to practical commercial applications and the faster building of technological advantages.

In 2025, the Company was working on expanding its NGS service offering based on:

  • AVITI avidity technology (Element Biosciences)
  • Oxford Nanopore third-generation sequencing (PromethION)

The aim of these projects is to further reduce the costs of genomic analysis, increase the scale of data processing and develop new applications for molecular diagnostics.

At the same time, new bioinformatics solutions were being developed, including the VINCO project, aimed at the early detection of infections posing a threat to the foetus and pregnant women. The project utilises data from NIPT prenatal testing to identify viral DNA.

The extension of NIPT to include viral DNA analysis represents one of the first commercial implementations of its kind in the world. This solution is an excellent example of how Genomed is developing unique expertise in the field of genetic data analysis and expanding the capabilities of the NIPT test, which the Company is the only one in Poland to perform entirely in its own laboratory.

Prospects for further growth

“2025 was a period of very dynamic expansion of Genomed’s operational scale. We achieved a 36% increase in sales of genetic tests and a 67% increase in sales of NGS services for the scientific sector, whilst maintaining high profitability. This growth rate was made possible by our recent investments in laboratory automation and modern sequencing platforms, as well as the development of our own bioinformatics capabilities.” emphasises Anna Boguszewska-Chachulska, Chair of the Management Board of Genomed S.A. – “In the coming years, we will focus on further scaling up our NGS services, developing bioinformatics and AI solutions for diagnostics, expanding the genomic testing market in the CEE region, and securing funding to support the development of state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and therapies for genetically determined diseases.”
